How is the total fee calculated?
The total fee is calculated based on your selected fee category, hostel room type, mess type, and optional miscellaneous expenses. The values are preloaded from official data sources and added dynamically using JavaScript.
Where do I get this data from?
The fee data is based on publicly available information from VIT’s official brochures and portals. Please verify with VIT’s website or admission office for the latest updates.

What is 'Fee Category'?
Fee categories (1–5) are assigned by VIT based on your entrance rank. Category 1 is the least expensive, and Category 5 is the highest.
What does 'Room Type' mean?
Room types indicate your hostel accommodation. For example, "2AC" is a 2-person air-conditioned room, while "3NAC" is a 3-person non-air-conditioned room.
What is 'Mess Type'?
This refers to your meal plan: Veg, Non-Veg, or Special Mess.
What does 'Miscellaneous Expenses' include?
These are monthly expenses like laundry, travel, stationery, snacks, etc., and are user-defined.
